The principal activities of HAT include:

• case consultation
• the provision of resource materials
• training in the area of federal capital habeas corpus litigation

HAT has provided advice and assistance in matters relating to the provision of capital habeas representation to:

• CJA panel attorneys
• federal defenders
• judges
• the Judicial Conference Committee on Defender Services
• the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts

HAT is comprised of both national and regional projects.
