• monitoring federal death penalty cases (federal capital trials)
• helping judges recruit counsel for federal capital prosecutions
• advising courts about CJA issues and the defense function in federal death penalty cases
• consulting with individual assigned counsel
• providing resource materials
• training on capital case defense techniques
• managing the Capital Defense Network web site
