The Federal Capital Appellate Resource Counsel provides assistance
in:
- helping to identify and recruit qualified attorneys for
appointment in federal capital direct appeals
- providing training, consultation, and support to attorneys
appointed to represent persons in direct appeal proceedings challenging
their federal capital convictions and death sentences
- representing, in a limited number of direct appeal cases, persons
convicted and sentenced to death in federal capital cases
